getreidegasse in salzburg
existing since the 12th century it used to be the only thoroughfare of the town. until this day it is an attraction for those who love strolling and shopping. the getreidegasse is a pedestrian zone and most beautiful in the mornings when the first sunrays illuminate the cladding of the middle-class houses and guild signs.
while town life is slowly awakening, walk up the alley to the old market and drink a melange in the café tomaselli. very typical salzburg style!
